National Trust for Historic Preservation has partnered with the Trust for National Mall and the National Park Service to address the National Mall Tidal Basin’s pressing need for critical repairs and improvements, including a crumbling sea wall and daily flooding that swamps sidewalks and threatening the roots of cherry trees. The centerpiece is an Ideas Lab, presented by American Express, that will serve as a forum for generating a new vision to secure the future of the Tidal Basin.
An online exhibition will launch on October 5 to present the projects generated by the Tidal Basin Ideas Lab.
